Abstract
Two cases of yellow nail syndrome were reported with a review of the literature. The yellow nail syndrome is a rare disease, typically characterized by the trias of scleronychia (yellow nails), peripherical lymphostasis and pleural effusions. In 25 % the cases are accompanied by sinusitis. In the beginning of the disease the affects of the sinus are the main problem. For this reason otolaryngologists are often the first medical doctors faced with the treatment of yellow nail syndrome.
